Hi
Earlier when I ran vobcopy on this Lord of the Rings Special Edition
(region 2) disc 1 I got the following error (DVDCSS_VERBOSE=2):
[..]

It appears that title 4 is actually just a short "logotype theme" added
by Svensk Filmindusti (Swedish film industy). Here's the file list for
the 4th title:
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 12288 Sep 12 2002 vts_04_0.bup
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 12288 Sep 12 2002 vts_04_0.ifo
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 12992512 Sep 12 2002 vts_04_1.vob
Anyway, so I tried ripping this CD with DVDDecryptor in Windows. And it
worked all fine - there were no errors. DVDDecryptor reported that this
title's key was C0 20 75 66 FB.
So I boot to linux and try it in vobcopy again. No errors this time:
libdvdread: Elapsed time 0
libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_1.VOB at 0x00367cef
libdvdread: Elapsed time 0
libdvdread: Found 4 VTS's
I wonder if this has anything to do with region? Actually I did not
change the region on the DVD reader, but maybe it needed to be
initialized somehow? (I have never read any region encoded disc in
this drive anyway, and it is brand new.)
Or is the DVD broken?
I use libdvdread3 0.9.4 and libdvdcss2 1.2.6/1.2.8...
