The VideoLAN team is very happy to announce a great series of releases,
codenamed "say no to war!", which are one more step towards the ultimate
free video streaming solution and total world domination! :-)

* VLC 0.5.2 : This new version of VLC media player includes:

- improved audio quality, especially under Mac OS X (new resampler),

- support for new audio formats (audio DV and FLAC),

- support for streaming of DivX 1/2/3, WMV 1/2 and h/i263 with VLC's
stream output,

- support for multi-channel audio, S/PDIF, and localization
under Windows,

- many bug fixes (including the lock-ups under Mac OS X).

Binary packages are already available for the following platforms:
- Windows,
- Mac OS X,
- Debian GNU/Linux,
- BeOS,
- Familiar Linux,
- Yopy/Linupy.

RPM packages for Mandrake and RedHat are not available yet; if someone
volunteers to work on this issue, he would be more than welcomed!

The full details about the new features and bug fixes are available on:

* VLS 0.5.0: this new version of the VideoLAN Server features:

- command line interface,

- support for the new LinuxTV drivers via libdvb, which brings
support for the streaming of digital terrestial television channels,

- multiple streams support for the DVB input,

- MPEG-4 TS support,

- many bug fixes.

WARNING : this new version of VLS doesn't work under Windows, because
of a bug that the VLS developers have been tracking for a long time,
but never found. Unless someone eventually finds the bug, VLS is not
available any more under Windows.

For the moment, only the sources are available.

* Libdvdcss 1.2.6: this new version of the universal DVD decryption
library is a bug-fix release.

* Libdvdplay 1.0.1: this new version of our DVD navigation library is
also a bug fix release.
